The Batchelor Community Library operates under an agreement between the Coomalie Community Government Council, The Northern Territory Library and Batchelor Institute .

BATCHELOR COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Your Community Library Officers are Victoria Dawson, Sue Munro and Myra Skinner. These friendly ladies will greet you on Thursday evenings from 5:30pm to 8pm and on Sunday afternoons from 1 o'clock to 4:30pm. Everyone, residents and vistors, are welcome to come and spend time in the Library during these hours. A quiet reading corner is available for readers to take advantage of the airconditioning and sit in the cool. Internet access is available on 4 computers during Community Library hours and a great collection of videos, DVDs, magazines, newspapers and fiction and non-fiction books, including a range of Indigenous books. Children are welcome and a monthly competetion is held to foster their talents, plus a range of junior books and games are available.

Come and enjoy this free Community Library service which is provided by Northern Territory Libraries and Coomalie Council using the facilities of the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education.
