Casual Councillor Vacancy

Coomalie Community Government Council is inviting applications from electors to apply for the casual councillor vacancy. The vacancy will be filled by vote of existing members to appoint a person until the next general local government election.

Applications will be accepted from electors who are:

• Eligible under section 46 of the Local Government Act 2019; and
• Enrolled in the Coomalie Rural Ward where the vacancy exists.

Applicants are invited to review the Information Pack on Council’s website and to attend an Information Session on Tuesday 30th April 2024 at 5:00pm in the Council Chambers, 22 Cameron Road Batchelor NT 0845.

Applicants will need to apply on the provided Nomination Form, including a written statement (1 page) or video submission (3 minutes) outlining why the applicant wants to be a Council member and the qualities they would contribute to Council. These submissions may be made public by the Council.
