Town Dogs

A limit of 2 dogs per household applies.

Rural Dogs

No limit applies. All dogs must be registered. Fees apply as above (working dogs exempt).

Council is aware of multiple reports of Estuarine Crocodiles (Salt Water) in water bodies within the Coomalie Region.


Should you have a possible sighting, please contact the NT Crocwise Team via there website https://becrocwise.nt.gov.au/


There are currently 2 reported sightings of Estuarine Crocodiles, at Lake Rum Jungle and Lake Bennett. Both of these lakes are currently closed to swimming until a survey has been completed.
